Alejandra Chao, Consultant

With a strong background in executive support, hospitality, and project management, Alejandra help professionals streamline operations, enhance productivity, and achieve their career goals. As an Executive Assistant, Alejandra understand the complexities of managing priorities, workflows, and logistics, allowing Alejandra to offer tailored coaching in resume building, personal branding, time management, and transitioning into executive support roles. Alejandra hold's a dual bachelor's degrees in International Tourism and Hospitality Management, along with a Project Management for Executive Assistants Certificate from UBC Sauder Executive Education.

Catherine Zhou, Consultant

Catherine is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance, consulting, business analytics, and retail healthcare. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), she specializes in data automation, Power BI reporting, and labor planning, transforming complex data into strategic insights that drive efficiency and business growth. Beyond her technical expertise, Catherine is deeply passionate about coaching and mentorship, having guided numerous professionals in finance and data analytics to advance their careers. Committed to continuous learning and knowledge sharing, she actively supports others in developing their skills and reaching their professional goals.

Elaine Santos, Director of Client Experience

After a successful career in the healthcare field for over 15 years, Elaine wanted to find a way to marry her experience with caring for the most vulnerable people with the excitement of hospitality and client services. She spent the first phase of her career in event planning, recruitment, and extensive administrative roles. Since joining The Monteiro Group in 2019, Elaine has supported the development of our school partnership program, career coaching programs and is a key liaison between our coaches, consultants and our clients.

Jose Monteiro, Chief Consultant

As a leader in the hospitality industry for over 40 years, Jose brings a wealth of experience in luxury hotels at an executive level, a strong positive work ethic, and the belief that relationships and trust are the key to success. As one of Vancouver's most sought after Food & Beverage experts, Jose is honored to have traveled the world working alongside Hyatt Hotels and Resorts while building The Monteiro Group, formally M-Solutions Consulting. Jose has a robust resume including opening luxury hotels, leading teams through Expo 86, the Olympics, and serving countless world leaders and royal family members.

Kelvin Monteiro, President

Born and raised in Vancouver, Kelvin knew that the hospitality industry was the perfect path for him as he experienced it first hand with his father, and business partner. With nearly 20 years of experience in leadership and executive roles, Kelvin has tackled various luxury hotel brands in operations, F&B and business marketing as well. In his most recent chapter Kelvin has led the opening of senior living residences as a General Manager and Regional Director, and as a Vice President for a large agricultural company in the Fraser Valley. Kelvin has been a member of the Program Advisory Board for Canadian Tourism College and Acsenda School of Management, MPI International panelist, Enactus BCIT Mentor and is a regular emcee and speaker throughout the country. Since 2021 he's emceed and spoken at over 50 conferences and virtual events. His goal is to continue to build partnerships with clients of The Monteiro Group as it's a long term investment to him. Kelvin is proud to have big banks, international colleges, luxury hotels, and small businesses as clients as they all offer something different for his team to tackle!
